Basecamp for Adventure
Frisco is the Main Street to the Rockies, located at the epicenter of Summit County, just 30 minutes from 6 world class ski resorts including Copper Mountain (7 minutes), Breckenridge (15 minutes) and Vail (30 minutes). But Frisco is not just about winter and skiing. Frisco sits on Dillon Reservoir and is surrounded by public lands, which are ideal for exploring the surrounding mountains.
How to Get to Frisco
Frisco is located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains just 95 miles from Denver International Airport.
Directions
- Take I-70 West to Frisco (Exit #203).
- To get to Main Street head south on Highway 9 (toward Breckenridge) for .5 mile to Frisco Main Street and turn right (west).
Frisco Transportation
Frisco is a hub for public transportation in Summit County so leaving your car at home is a viable option when visiting Frisco.
- The Summit Stage is a free bus service, serving all of Summit County including ski resorts.
- At just under 2 square miles with miles of trails and recreation paths, Frisco is also ideal for pedestrians and bikers.
Summer Fun
Throughout the sprizng, summer and fall, visitors can find numerous options for hiking, biking, fishing, camping, rafting and boating. The Frisco Bay Marina serves as the gateway to the majestic Dillon Reservoir, while Frisco’s Main Street features unique shops and boutiques, offering out of the box shopping and great bars and restaurants.
Winter Fun
Winter offers an abundance of skiing at six world-class ski resorts, including Copper Mountain Resort, which is just a quick 7 minute drive from Frisco. Frisco also boasts over 27k of Nordic ski trails and 20k of snowshoe trails at the Frisco Nordic Center. And if you want to have fun in the snow sans skis- the whole family will enjoy tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park or taking a sleigh ride with Two Below Zero.
