“THE GREAT FLUME” Presented by Bill Fountain

Local author and historian, Fountain unveils the story of the first mega gold mining operation in the greater Breckenridge mining district, located in the upper Swan River Valley. Follow this historic and photographic story of the Fuller Placer Mining Company and the incredible engineering feat of building and operating a gigantic water flume designed to aid in the area’s extensive hydraulic mining operations.

2018 Summer Lecture Series

The Historical Lunchtime Lecture Series features 12 educational presentations held at the Historic Park Log Chapel, every Wednesday at 12:00pm. Bring a bagged lunch to enjoy while learning about the rich history of Frisco and surrounding areas. Seating is very limited – please arrive early!
