Virtual Lunchtime Lecture: Chicano History & The Modern Movement

Jun 10, 2020 (Past event)

Join us on June 10 at 12pm for our first Virtual Lunchtime Lecture featuring Ricardo LaFore, discussing Chicano history and the precursors to the modern Chicano Movement in the 1960’s.

Using his own experience, LaFore covers the seminal moments leading up to this point in history, as well as the effect the movement had on Chicano gains in subsequent years.

An activist for over 50 years, LaFore serves on the Chicano Movement Advisory Committee for History Colorado and received the Cesar Chavez Leadership Award in 2003.
