Aug 13, 2020 (Past event)

The Town of Frisco is proud to continue the tradition of Concerts in the Park during our “new normal” by bringing together great music for a great cause during our free concert series, which will largely be live broadcast from Ten Mile Music Hall in 2020. These concerts feature great up-and-coming musical talent, as well as well-loved favorites. You’ll hear everything from country to jazz to Americana/bluegrass to good ole’ rock-n-roll.
All concerts will be on Thursdays from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, from June 25, 2020 through August 20, 2020.
The Band and the Non-Profit for August 13, 2020
The eighth Concert Not in the Park of the 2020 summer season will be live broadcast on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5:30pm-7:30pm featuring Eric James Groove Conspiracy and will benefit Family & Intercultural Resource Center.
The Eric James Groove Conspiracy will throw down original funk tunes, an eclectic mix of classic rock and blues, and lots of fugitive grooves. Guitarist Eric James also regularly plays with The Frisco Funk Collective in Summit County and has attracted a loyal local fan base on the merits of his remarkably diverse axe skills. From his tasteful leads with Knight Groove, to his driving and sweet-toned guitar work with Frisco Funk Collective, Eric has been a High Country musical staple. Eric’s exciting new project, the Eric James Groove Conspiracy, allows him to present his Macio Parker, Meters, and Soulive influenced set and then take a pronounced turn towards innovative interpretations of classic Led Zeppelin and Grateful Dead tunes branded with his signature guitar sound.

Can I Attend?
As a means of fundraising, each of our nonprofit partners will be allowed to sell a limited number tickets each week- 7 tables will be for sale and will hold up to 3 people maximum. No individual tickets will be for sale; just tables. The non-profits will set the price and provide a way to purchase tickets.
How Can I Support This Week’s Non-Profit?
Please donate to this week’s non-profit.
Why the Move to Live Streaming for 2020?
Summit Public Health Orders allow for outdoor event gatherings of 175 people or less currently to slow the spread of COVID-19, which does not support the crowds we typically see at Concerts in the Park.. This means that this year’s Concert in Not in the Park Series needs to look a lot different in order to meet public health guidelines and have a profoundly positive impact on keeping us all healthy.
We love this tradition and wanted to support musicians, Ten Mile Music Hall, and local non-profits so we decided to be creative and flexible. We still need a little of the “old normal” to be part of the “new normal”. You still have the opportunity to support local non-profits, and now you can join us from your own beautiful lawn!
