What is the Full Moon Fat Bike Fête?

On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 6:00pm, the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge will host a free Full Moon Fat Bike Fête featuring fat bike demos from Breck Bike Guides, live music, a winter bike talk by Nat Ross, food and beer. This night of fat bike demos and talks and socializing is sponsored by the Town of Frisco, Breck Bike Guides, ELEVATE Innovation Center and the Mountain Outdoor Recreation Alliance. Carrie Benefiel will be providing live music for this “bike meetup” and the Town of Frisco will provide free appetizers and a limited amount of free beer. Additional beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for sale.

Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show

This Full Moon Fat Bike Fête is not only a way for Summit locals to celebrate what has been a really good early season of fat biking, but also a chance for Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show attendees to gather for their final day in the mountains to see the mountain culture of Summit County in action and to celebrate their passion for the brands, businesses, causes and people that make the outdoor industry so successful. The final days of the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show will wrap up with an On-Snow Demo at Copper Mountain on January 29-30. The Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show, the nation’s largest outdoor sports expo and conference, was held at the Colorado Convention Center from January 25-28, 2018 in Denver. This combined Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show was the first time in nearly 30 years that the outdoor and snow industries were exhibiting together.

Frisco Freeze Bike Race

The Town of Frisco will also be hosting its own fat bike event with the 2nd Annual Frisco Freeze Bike Race on Saturday, February 10 at the Frisco Nordic Center. This is a rare chance to winter bike at the Frisco Nordic Center, as the Center is otherwise not open to winter biking. There will be six categories of racer awards, and awards will be given to the top three racers in each category. Registration fees vary from $20-$35.
