The Frisco Nordic Center is offering a free talk with mountaineer Art Burrows at 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Art will present an intimate view into his ski mountaineering experiences through his award winning photography. Art will begin his talk with the first free heeled ascent and descent of Canada’s highest peak, Mt. Logan at 19,850ft. He will then share a few amazing stories and the best images from 37 explorations to British Columbia, Canada. In conclusion, Art will turn to local ski mountaineering with a discussion of his multi-day high alpine route through the Gore Range, while suggesting some untested new routes that would be ideal for the modern ski-mo style now popular in Colorado. There will be some complimentary snacks and a cash bar.
