Jul 5-11, 2020 (Past event)

The Frisco Historic Park & Museum is proud to announce a fully revamped Founder’s Celebration, running Sunday, July 5, 2020, through Saturday, July 11, 2020.
The new physically distant format will have a variety of virtual and outdoor activities based around this year’s themes: art, history, and nature. The activities will include educational historic stories, fun take-home crafts, a kid’s clean-up day and a Frisco-based scavenger hunt for the whole family to enjoy. There will also be opportunities to support Smart Bellies, a local non-profit focused on providing food for school-aged children. As families complete the activities, they can submit their entry for a drawing to be held the following week.
Historic Stories
Join us online to watch a new historic story every day. Starting with the history of Frisco on Sunday, July 5, 2020. The Legendary Ladies will then take the stage Monday through Saturday to share inspiring tales of pioneer women of the past. Visit the Frisco Historic Park & Museum’s Facebook, website or YouTube daily to watch each new video.
Draw a picture showing what you’ve learned from each video to earn an entry to win our Founder’s Celebration drawing.
Kids’ Crafts
Find the tent in the Frisco Historic Park on Monday, July 6, 2020, and Friday, July 10, 2020 (9:00am to 11:00am or 3:00pm to 5:00pm) to pick up a unique, historic take-home craft kit. Created in partnership with Frosted Flamingo and Sunny Side Up Studios. Build a Gold Miner’s bag and paint your own Fool’s Gold or plant your own set of Colorado Wild Flowers.
