Join us for the 3rd Annual Girls on the Run 5k in Frisco! This celebratory, non-competitive event is the culminating experience of a 10 week program that is open to girls in 3rd through 5th grade. Completing the 5k gives the girls a tangible understanding of the confidence that comes through accomplishment as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals. Crossing the finish line is a defining moment when the girls realize that even the seemingly impossible IS possible.
You don’t have a family member in the Girls on the Run Program? Don’t fret; this race IS open to the public and offers a relatively flat course with spectacular views of the Dillon Reservoir, Buffalo Mountain and Mount Royal!
Race Details: Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Summit Middle School. The course will be an out-and-back on the Summit County Recreation Path. Due to the anticipated high number of racers, we will start the race in waves. Waves will be assigned by school; if you’re not affiliated with a school then jump in any wave you’d like! This is a fun run and the race will not be timed.
Please leave your dogs at home; this is a no pet event. Strollers are welcome, however, you must start at the end of the last wave. No exceptions.

Day of Registration: will take place from 9:30am – 10:30am on the morning of the race at Summit Middle School.
Packet Pick-Up: Day-of packet pick-up will also be available from 9:30am – 10:30am at Summit Middle School.
Race Fees: $25/pre-registration fee; $35/day-of registration fee. T-shirts are only guaranteed to the first 200 registered runners so register early!
Parking: Parking will be available at Summit Middle School. Please follow the direction given by parking attendants. Follow the ‘racer drop-off’ signs if you are simply dropping off a racer and do not need to park.

Lodging: Our preferred lodging sponsor for the Girls on the Run 5k is Baymont Inn & Suites. Call 970-668-5094 and mention you’re racing in the Girls on the Run 5k and you’ll receive a rate of $89.99 for a room with two queen beds. This rate will only be honored over the phone and is only valid over the weekend of the race.
Awards: No awards will be given at this 5k; it is a non-competitive, fun run!
Timing: This is a fun run and the race will not be timed.
