Frisco’s Founders Day – Get Your Hands on History!

Get Your Hands on History! from 10:00am-4:30pm

Guests are invited to experience Frisco’s heritage at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum and celebrate Frisco’s history. This event features gold panning, burro rides, costumed reenactments, interpretive tours, refreshments and live music and entertainment at the Historic Park gazebo.

Guests will have a chance to ride burros, pan for gold and create sidewalk chalk art compliments of Climax Mine. There will also be opportunities to tour the Historic Park and Museum’s twelve buildings, enjoy some refreshments, or set out a lawn chair at the park for a day of entertainment.

The free entertainment line-up at Chez’ Place Gazebo includes a historic reenactment by the Legendary Ladies at 11:00am, two roping demonstrations at 12:00pm and 2:00pm, a concert by the Summit Concert Band at 1:00pm, and a performance with the singer/songwriter band, HoneyHoney, at 3:00pm. In addition, Summit Advocates for Gifted Education (SAGE) will be selling lemonade and ice cream as a fundraiser.
