Kids’ Sandcastle Competition

The Sixth Annual Frisco Bay Marina Kids’ Sandcastle Competition will return this summer on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Registration will be from 9:00am to 10:00am on the Marina lawn. The competition will start at 10:00am and kids will have until 11:30am to build their sandcastles. Judging will start at 11:30am. Summit County avalanche rescue dogs will make a special appearance and will help judge the sandcastles. Awards will take place at 12:00pm. The event will take place RAIN or SHINE!

Age divisions will be 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Teams with multiple children will be placed into the age division of the oldest child in their group. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place for each age division and to the overall winner. Each team will receive one free bucket and shovel, while supplies last. The free buckets and shovels are sponsored by Stork & Bear Company. Children are encouraged to bring their own sandcastle building supplies and anything they would like to decorate their sandcastle with.
