Susan G. Komen Colorado Makes Decision to Cancel Snowshoe for the Cure

In light of the “presumptive positive” COVID-19 case diagnosed at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Summit County on Thursday, March 5, 2020 and because many folks have immune system issues during and after cancer treatment, Susan G. Komen Colorado has decided to be abundantly cautious and cancel Saturday’s Snowshoe for the Cure event, which includes Friday’s Pink Party (packet pick-up). You can still make donations online or stop in the Frisco-Copper Visitor Information Center at 300 Main Street to buy a shirt to support the cause.

If you’re already registered for Snowshoe for the Cure, we welcome you to come spend the weekend in Frisco. Snowshoe for the Cure participants are invited to come out and enjoy a beautiful day in the mountains on Saturday. The Frisco Nordic Center will allow Snowshoe for the Cure participants free access to snowshoe trails at the Nordic Center on Saturday morning during normal operating hours (9:00am-5:00pm) or participants can snowshoe on the groomed recreation path from the Nordic Center.

If you have any questions, Susan G. Komen Colorado staff is available to assist by email at snowshoe@komencolorado.org or by phone at 303-744-2088 ext. 311.

It’s a Frisco tradition, and Snowshoe for the Cure is all about pink, happy, hope and time on Frisco’s trails. Susan G. Komen Colorado partners with the Town of Frisco’s Nordic Center to continue the tradition of snowshoe fun and community spirit, which has raised over 1 million dollars since its inception to fight breast cancer.
