Join us for a free special edition lecture featuring mission coordinator Glen Kraatz, a twenty-year veteran of the Summit County Rescue Group. Come hear the harrowing tales of high-mountain heroism and the history of Summit County’s guardian angels.
With 65 active members, the Summit County Rescue Group responds to over 250 calls for help each year. When disaster strikes in the remote and wild backcountry of Summit County, only one outfit has the training and courage to execute life-saving missions. Since 1973, the Summit County Rescue Group has provided emergency response to backcountry recreationists and saved scores of lives in the process.
