Winter Lecture Series: The Buckskin Sculptor

Nov 23, 2019

Alexander Phimister Proctor (1860-1950) was deeply revered as both America’s premier animal sculptor and unfailingly warm and enthusiastic human being.

Proctor dedicated his life to creating monumental statues throughout the United States, including the “Bronco Buster” and “On The War Trail” in Denver which embodies the untamed frontier spirit of the old West.

Storyteller and well-known Grand Lake historian, Dave Lively, introduces a man who was an artist, an incurable wanderer and confidant of many prominent figures in his day. Join us to learn about the legacy of this great man. This event is free and open to the public.
